Delete your account & data
You can permanently delete your VerifyDrugLabel account and everything in it at any time — from inside the app or by email. You're signed out immediately and the data is erased within 7 days.

1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)
On iPhone, iPad, Android, or the web:
- Open VerifyDrugLabel and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Danger zone → Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account is deactivated and you're signed out immediately.
2. Or request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, email support@duskfieldstudios.com from the address on your account and we'll process the deletion for you.
3. What gets deleted
Deletion permanently removes your account and all data associated with it, including:
- Your profile, email, and login credentials
- Your saved medicines and verification (scan) history
- Your accessibility preferences (font size, high-contrast, read-aloud speed)
- Dose reminders, recall watch-list entries, and caregiver shares
We never stored an image of your bottle or label in the first place — scanned images are discarded after the NDC is extracted, so there's nothing image-related left to delete. See our Privacy Policy.
4. Timeline
Your account becomes inaccessible the moment you confirm. All of the data above is permanently and irreversibly deleted within 7 days. We retain only the security audit log — which already stores your email as a one-way hash, never in cleartext — for up to 90 days to protect against fraud, plus any transactional records (e.g. subscription/payment history) we are legally required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. After that window, the data is gone and can't be recovered.
5. Important: cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your VerifyDrugLabel account does not cancel a paid subscription, because subscriptions are billed by the app store or payment processor — not by us. Cancel it separately so you aren't charged again:
- App Store (iPhone / iPad): Settings → your name → Subscriptions → VerifyDrugLabel → Cancel.
- Google Play (Android): Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → VerifyDrugLabel → Cancel.
- Web (Stripe): Settings → Subscription → Manage Billing, before you delete the account.
